Okay, so I stole this recipe from an ancient Betty Crocker "Cookbook for Boys and Girls." Betty wasn't even a real person, so I don't feel a bit guilty. Besides, I updated it by using the microwave--makes the buns soft and the cheese gets gooey. What I like is that this recipe is sooooooo easy. If you don't have onions or celery, proceed anyway.
Ingredients
1 can tuna, drained
1/2 cup celery, chopped
1/2 small onion, minced
1/4 cup Mayonnaise
6 slices cheese
6 buns
Directions
1. Mix the tuna, celery, onion, and Mayonnaise
2. Divide among the buns, top with cheese slice
3. Betty's Baking Method: place on foil sheet: 350 degrees for 15 minutes
4. Suzy's Speedy Way: wrap in wax paper: 1-2 minutes in microwave, till cheese melts
